I have been fooling around with my HT clock and checking benchmarks, and I just can't get a conclusive answer.

People say that increasing your HT clock ultimately results in lower performance, but this doesn't seem to be true.

So what I'm wondering is... should I just stick with the multiplier on my x4 955? I'm running a good 200HT x 19 for a clock of 3.80GHz.

But I can get just over 3.9GHz @ 1.45v still... and I'm wondering whether I should keep my 19x multiplier and go with a higher HT. Or go with a 19.5x multiplier and not raise the HT?

Raising the HT may or may not do anything, but raising the NB frequency to 2500-2700mhz does a ton. If I were you, I would try to get up to 250x15 or so.

It certainly can cause instability. There is no sense raising the NB frequency if there is no gain in performance.
