So I am slowly working my way higher. (Small successes bring on more questions
.) I have figured out that my bios totally resets when the HT gets too high. Right now my clock is at 223 MHZ and Prime stable with a HT of 3x. At 4x BIOS resets when I restart. Oh... memory is slowed to 186 MHZ ~CPU/1.1 (BIOS setting was to run at 166MHZ).

Is this telling me to make a change to vcore (currently vcore=1.47v) or something? Temp in the middle of Prime95 never goes over 20 C so I can up vcore if that is the issue, but I dodn't want to do it for no reason.

Thanks,

dru

A 4x should allow up to about 1040MHz before instability can occure, some MB can go higher but the speed increase is moot.
4x up to 260, 3x beyond that seems to work on all OCable 939MBs.

Vcore increases, start with default and increase 1 notch as necessary, but do keep the full load @ or under 50c.

That is what has been confusing me. 4x223=892MHZ which is well below what I thought was the 1000 MZ target I wanted to stay below. Dropping the multi to 3x is the only thing I have found that keeps BIOS from resetting on a restart. Could the BIOS have a lower value (< about 880 in my case) it checks against and decides to reset?

thanks again

The memory bus insnt saturated at full speed...
Anywhere around 750-1000 is fine.
