Err I am starting to hate my new Inspire. My Fiancee has had her inspire 4g since they came out. And I got mine about 3 weeks ago. Her screen is NOTICEABLY brighter then mine. And both phones are at 100% brightness. Her phone screen is more vibrant and her whites are alot brighter then my screen. Both phones are EXACTLY the same settings etc....

Also hers is faster to find facebook check ins. Its almost instant. Mine loads for 20 mins then finds places no where near me.

This is my second inspire the first one ATT replaced because they noticed the screen on that one had a black dot in the middle of it. Now this one

Any suggestions?

Yeah, you wouldn't want to be rooting your phone when you may have a hardware malfunction. Rooting pretty much voids all warranty.

Take it back to AT&T and replace it again. The Inspire isn't a bad phone, you've just been unlucky.

I know with Samsung Galaxy devices, there is a problem with the screen colors etc. When you flash your phone with a new ROM. You get new options & there is an option to be able to adjust the screen brightness & color.

But if I was you, look at getting another one if you don't want to deal with all that hassle.

Ask for a replacement, you could take your wifes phone in as proof if you wanted to as well. They haven't done a swap of screen technology have they? They did that on the desire (AMOLED to SLCD) and the difference between them was quite noticeable(I got an AMOLED version thank god).
