After announcing the HWBOT World Tour we received an incredible amount of positive messages from people who want to join the events as well as from people who want to get involved in the organization of the events. It is with great pleasure and an infinite amount of enthusiasm, we announce the first stop of the HWBOT World Tour 2015 in North America. From March 6-8 you can join us for three days of non-stop overclocking at Canada's largest LAN Party event: Lan ETS event in Montreal.

The HWBOT World Tour 2015 - North America Lan ETS is brought to you by HWBOT, Overclock.net and Overclocking-TV. The Stop features three activities:

  • The Extreme OC gathering (Ticket required)
  • A World Series event
  • A World Series for Amateurs event (free for all Lan ETS participants and visitors)

The event is open to anyone: from Elite to Rookie overclockers, and even those who have yet to set their first steps in the world of overclocking. During the entire event you can join any of our activities.

For the amateurs, which includes Rookies, Novices and Enthusiasts we host an exclusive workshop at the venue, combined with an exciting double elimination overclocking tournament. The final of the amateur overclocking event will be held on stage at Lan ETS, and of course we have a bunch of cool prizes for the winners and lucky winners. Note that the World Series for Amateurs is not eligible for overclockers who already have extreme cooling experience, or already participated in a live, open overclocking competition before.

man I would love to go. I wish it was a bit closer to new york. usually new york gets everything, it's about 370 miles from nyc, a straight shot on I-87 . I guess it's not that far.

Just PDXlan in my area and a few other events but nothing focused on OC i dont think ...
Keep in mind that LAN ETS is first and foremost a 1,000+ person LAN party. PDXLAN is pretty famous for their case modding competitions but I've never heard of them doing benching. There are a few videos of tech demos at PDXLAN where ASUS has done LN2 overclocking but not a competition. Personally I'm more jealous of the awesome sponsorships west coast LANs tend to get because tons of companies seem to have offices in California and elsewhere along the coast. We have a few sponsors with offices here in Canada but not anything near the number out there, but then again we have AMD who have been a very generous partner which arguably makes up for the lack of other companies.

Your so right about the sponsorships. A friend of mine at pdxlan last year came home with 4 fractal design 1200w modular power supplies. He said that someone was hiding them in various areas with sticky notes on them saying "yours truly, fractal design" I guess it was some sort of easter egg hunt. I thought that was pretty cool. And not just event sponsors but I know that there is a lot of opportunities for case modders at PDX lan and other west coast events because of the large number of company reps that attend. So networking in person rather than through email benefits us much more than those who arent near an event like what HWbot is putting on with overclock and others.

So I definitely agree with you on that.

Damn, ETS! could you guys bring an event to Toronto? I know Overclock and AMD host one like twice a year, and guys come up from Texas just to overclock and show of their new builds. Bring your tour to Toronto!
