ok so i was comparing iscsi to local and nfs on my server and I was using hdtach to test what was fastest. This is what happened when i tested my iscsi.
Ok now let me explain why this is physicaly impossible
1. Im using that datastore (where the VM is stored) over a 100mbit connection
2. The hard disk in the NAS is a sata 150 hard disk meaning that that speed is physicaly impossible
Is that monitoring the data that is incoming over the 100mbit connection? If it's just sending the monitoring data and doesn't actually transmit the data over the network then yes it is possible?

This is what I am thinking.
However, those speeds are still too fast for a SATA I drive...
no. Its a Poweredge server (1750) and the the VM is stored on a network share on another PC next to it Via a lan 100mb/s. Its all local but physicaly impossible because nothing in the entire network operates at that speed
