i overclocked my 8350 on a 990fx sabertooth r2.0 .

i got it to 4.6ghz on 1.45v and stressed it for 6 hours with prime 95

then right before i went to bed i was gonna stress it overnight and i set it to stress 10 minutes in 1 core failed then all of them failed 10 minutes later

what the hell is going on?

is it because i stressed all day then let it cool down for a while and stressed it again?

Try 4.5ghz at 1.45v. If that works then I'd say your're not applying enough voltage to 4.6ghz.
My chip is 4.5ghz stable at 1.45625v.

Prime 95 sucks.

Run OCCT or Intel Burn Test to check for stability.

Typically, if something is 24 hours prime 95 stable then I consider it stable.

Sorry it took so long to reply. Yes, I have the FX-8350. My chip requires 1.5v+ for 4.6 stable, so I keep 4.5 for my 24/7 OC. Incidentally, my VID is 1.35v and my TjMax is 90c according to core temp.
