i got 2 500aaks and there both acting messed up, got any ideas?

is your os installed on either of them (particularly the zig-zaggy one) and your sata controller could be the cause of the 19ms access time, move it to a different sata port

thanks for the reply, but both drives are totaly empty i moved them from sata 5 and 6 to 3 and 4 and still the same thing, my only guess is for the 19ms that the sound dampaning thing is activated? and how would i go about turning that of? as wd doest suport any programs....

You mite try a full wipe of both drives with dban,just a guess tho.
