Congrats!!!! I absolutely love mine, you will love them even more after you get them burned in, they sound awesome right out of the box but they get more of a richer, clearer, and more presice sound (imo) after about 50hrs of use. The best is yet to come my friend!!!!! Enjoy
Sweet!
Yeah, they aren't the smallest headphones on earth but they do sound great!

Glad you enjoy yours.

Enjoying mine as I type this. Hope you love them as much as I do.

AD700s + my HDAV1.3 + 1131kbps WavPak file = amazing

O_O I am going to have to try that.... Once I get a Xonar...
The HDAV 1.3 does nothing except permit Dolby DTS or something along the lines of that, so it won't sound significantly better.

ASUS Xonar STX/ST ftw

Also, if you listen to dubstep, tell me how they are with them.

I bought my HDAV1.3 before the STX came out.

I was told by a friend of mine (the friend that convinced me to buy my first dedicated sound card- the X-fi XtremeMusic) that the HDAV was a bit better than the Xonar D2 or D2x. I believe it was better op-amps.

I love mine. Physically mine are starting to wear out as I've had them for 2 years as of this Christmas, but they still sound great. I think I might have to either get another pair or upgrade to something else.

I hope you enjoy your AD700s as much as I have enjoyed mine for the past 2 years.
The AD900s are great from what I hear.

Not worth the price increase though.

can anyone tell me how they sound compared to hd555s, any characteristics that pop out?

Better highs and more refined mids. Bass isn't really existant with these cans and the soundstage difference is negligible. They are, however, a more expensive can and one must take this into account in comparing the cans.
