I just put Xubuntu 8.10 on my friend's Latitude CPi

It CHUGS!!! I MEAN CHUGS! on xubuntu. Is there a lighterweight version that is up-to-date? I also do not have internet on it (until he gives me money to get him a card for it). I want it running faster than when it had XP on the damn thing XD

http://crunchbanglinux.org/ put some more RAM in it if you can.

I will think about DSL an puppy. I have heard of them and used them on a flash (and tried them on this PC O________________O really fast)
