I need a good budget TV/Monitor 30" plus

OK, in the next couple months, I am buying myself a new xmas gift. I am looking for a TV/monitor. All I care is that it is 30"+ and will function good for both TV and PC. My budget is somewhat limited. I would like to get it for less than $300-$350. I am unsure of the difference between a decent TV and a decent monitor besides input options etc., so I am not sure if I should be shopping for a monitor or a TV, lol.

You probably need a 16:9 TV with 1080p, PC inputs, and low response time. Unfortunately for that, you're looking at a 32" TV with a price tag over $500. If you use a cable box then you can go with a monitor, but then the speakers and view angle will probably suck. It also might be 16:10 which is annoying as hell for a TV.

I don't use a box, I just have the coaxial right to my current TV. I watch things on PC more than TV (about 75% vs. 25%) However, I do like to watch sports on TV, so I really don't want to sacrifice that.

I'd be willing to go a bit smaller, but I do want something bigger than my current 22".

Since you probably don't mind 16:10 since you watch on PC mostly, the Samsung T260HD is on sale for $319 right now. Supposedly it does a good job a being both a monitor and TV. Only a 25.5" screen though.

I found another to look at. It's a Hannspree 28" at TigerDirect. Looks like the cable input is on the side, but you might want to research that a little further.

i recommend the Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L32X1 and Samsung LN32B360 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, they are good among 32 inch tvs.
you can have a look at the list for 32 inch tvs and the reviews.
