K i noticed w/ that one the
CPU Types are: Core 2 Quad / Core 2 Extreme / Core 2 Duo

is it backwards compatable w/ Pentium E2180

You said your running a Pentium Dual Core. Is that a Pentium EXxxx series chip, or do you mean a PentiumD...

The Gigabyte board is backwards compatable, it will run even Pentium 4's

That other board from Tiger however may not run a Pentium E series..

Yes, also I wouldn't recommend PCchips, they're a lil more hit or miss than ECS, and ECS is pretty bad.

Foxconn and Biostar make decent to good boards, gigabyte is highly regarded generally aswell.

The Pentium E2180 is a Core 2 Duo. It's the same type of CPU, but with some cache cut off. So yes it's guaranteed to work. That Gigabyte G31 would be fine.
