Alright, all my specifications are that I need and Antec 1200 case, a 22" monitor at least a 1920x1080 resolution, either a 4870x2 or a 295 video card and an i7 processor. I have never overclocked before, and I plan to do it here. I wasnt pretty low temps and I know how to build a computer, yes lol. Also try to keep it under 1750, 2000 tops.

I think their are a few but for a resolution of 1920x1200 you will need a 24" monitor minimum. If you already know what you want, what do you need us for?

Im not good with mobos and picking out reliable ram and such. Plus I need to make sure its an easily overclockable processor. I'll do my "homework" and such of course. Also I wanted to make sure I wasn't making a horrible call with what I posted.

This will give people something to work with and build off of, so that they know what you need. I know you want to overclock, but how do you plan to use the computer? (e.g., Video/Photo editing, Gaming, Business, Folding, etc.) Just to give people an idea of how you plan to use it.

CPU: i7 920 or 940 $290/$560
Heatsink/Fan:
MB:
RAM:
GPU:
PSU:
Case: Antec 1200 $155
Monitor:

edit: Also do you already have an OS or will you be buying that as well?

You could skimp out on some stuff if you wanted to (like get an 850TX psu) or a cheaper monitor (I just love mine). Also you can probably find much better deals if you look for a while, I just grabbed the first thing I saw to put it in your price range.

That's a great build. And you're right about the 850TX - It should be more than enough to power that rig.

Agreed. Get an 850TX and use the money to buy a bigger, badder monitor.
