yeah i need a new mobo.
my crappy CH4 open box was defective so im returning it back.
i need something of equal price that can OC like a beast with plenty PCIe slots so i can fold.
i need to be able to fit 2 dual slot cards and 2 or 1 single slot cards (8800GT's)

so nothing over 200 bucks! i cant afford that!
halp!

I dun know if you would take suggestions but i'd recommend this

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...065&CatId=5545

I know it's not the greatest but it's affordable and it has pretty good features and you can unlock your CPU if you haven't already with it.

I also know your rig says Asus sucks but yea... xD It's a good one u.u

If not i voted MSI 790FX

Giga > MSI for me. Its a personal pref though. I would go with whatever has the best onboard options / bios options you need.

as long as these mobos can
unlock CPU
keep a 24/7 4Ghz OC running stable without explosions
OC RAM to 1.6Ghz+
fit enough cards for folding (MSI mobos win for that)
clr CMOS button is a must

I would say hands down get the msi 790fx. It is an awesome board and has enough pci-e slots to choke a horse. It is also a great overclocker. Don't let people stray you away from msi, they are a great company that has improved substantially over the past couple years and is going stronger than ever.

Oh, and if your worried about the reliability of msi boards, I have a desktop that was originally running win 98 with an msi board and it is still running to this day, no problems what so ever.

hmm
but they made things to last back then. now? not anymore.
example: radeon 9200SE, 7 years of heavy use and STill WORKS
HD4870, 2 months of heavy use, died.
see?

anyway, if the 790FX is good, why isnt any1 recommending the 890FXA GD70?
the giga is really winning too
