HI guys,

The other day i was using my 8800GT on my pc, and it just blow up, "DEAD". Now im doing some research to get a new one that i can afford, i was thinking on the 260GTX or 280GTX which are around 150 with Mail Rebate over Newegg.com,

If this is a Great card, which brand do you guys recommend ? I was using the EVGA over my 8800gt which is a really good one for my understanding...

Please Open To suggestion Under 150 Dollar. Thanks.

You can find GTX260's for around $120 (I saw an XFX card with the second lifetime warranty for ... $120 I think?) and 275's for about $150.

There's probably also some good ATI cards, but I haven't been keeping up on who's edging out who in the benchmarks.

Yup looking at the FS section of OCN is a smart move but if you want new..

Are you looking to stay with NV? If not here is a good card for the price.
After rebates works out to be $113.

If staying with NV here is a good card.

Your best bet in your price range is a GTX2xx card. They beat out the competition and will give you better overall performance up to 1920x1080.

If you can find a GTX280 or 285 for under 150$, that's what you should get. If not, try to get a 275 as it will perform better than the 260 at higher resolutions.

GTX 460 should cost $170.00 in a week or 2.

Great card if you don't need warranty. BFG no longer takes RMAs.

I don't know if they made a GTX260 with that much VRAM. But if they did, it'd be better for larger resolutions. 1GB and over is good for 19xx x 10xx and larger. Anything less is ideal for 16xx x 10/12xx and below.

Sure - if it's a good price grab it. But if you can, you'll really suffice better at that resolution with a card that has a little bit more horsepower behind it. A GTX280/285 would really fit your resolution better than a GTX260.
