well today i might have killed my 3000+ i oced it to 2.943ghz with 1.87V it ran fine i was priming al was well for about 6hours and then i hear the monitor shut off, i went to cheak it and it froze so i rebooted reset it back to my stable oc of 2.84ghz and it wouldnt run prime for more then 2secs so i reset the cmos and ran prime 95 it failed at stock. i ran memtest passes cheaked my temps and if the heatsink was set properly now for it to run at stock speeds it needs 1.54V and it will only prime for 7hours:'( o and btw the IHS was removed long time ago if that helps

Doesn't sound too good. Time for a new 3000+ or an Opteron 144 it seems. With prices where they are you can afford to push secondary rigs past their limit. What were your temperatures running at that kind of voltage?

There really is not a bad 144 stepping if you go that route. May not get as high as your 3000+, but it will be close.

Anywhere from $50 to $80. $50 being what you can get one for on ebay, and $80 being what you can get one from a online retailer.
