Wanting a i2500k 1155 mobo and ram combo. I don't want micro atx. I want to hit atleast 4.8 on this below 1.4 volts. I would prefer 8GB of ram. Let me know what you have got. I want to keep it around $260-$300 price wise.

Well maybe I should change the title to buying i2500k that overclocks to 5GHz under 1.4 for $150 since that seems to be about the going rate. On newegg there are 1155 boards for $100 and 8gb ram for $60. so its really not that far of a stretch.

The going rate for a 5GHz under 1.4v i5-2500K is going to run you more than the chip costs new in many cases.

Good luck with that. They still cost $200/$220 new and that price won't really change until Ivy gets a lot closer. It's still months away. I would consider $160 shipped for an average chip (4.6/4.7 @ 1.4v) a pretty awesome deal.

I bet this will do 5GHz under 1.4v:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1200729/5600mhz-i5-2500k <--- It's $100 over the price that is new.

Oh, and I took a look at appraisals for you.. this is what I found..

http://www.overclock.net/t/1204514/appraisal-2500k

$175-$190

You should be able to get it all for about $300 though

$175ish CPU
$40 RAM
$85 halfway decent motherboard

Wish you luck.
