I have $500. I'm thinking of upgrading to the i7 2600k. But I also am thinking about a 4th generation iPod touch purchase.

OCN, my next computer upgrade is riding on you. Help a brother out.

I don't "need" anything that goes into my computer, per se. I'm an enthusiast and rigs are my thing. I really don't need an iPod either, it's just nice having a new toy.

I LIKE YOUR THINKING.

I'm leaning a bit towards the 2600K side, but I'm open to any suggestions. I really don't have anything I really want, so I really don't know. Hm.

SSD? 2nd 5770? Both?
I was thinking a C300. But my current motherboard doesn't support SATA 6.0Gb/s nor does it support 8x/8x PCIe lanes (which rules out the second 5770).

that i would save for ivy bridge....

i have both i7-930 and i5-2500k

All i see are minimal differences. I think the i7-930 is still quicker. better off saving for ivy-bridge.

Ivy bridge is still 1155 yeah?

If it is then I'd get a high end board and a 2500K

I vote for the itouch.... Unless u really need to upgrade the pc, you will get more enjoyment from the itouch... And will have some money left over to save towards and upgrade a few months from now...

I say keep it!

the i5 750 is one of the best value processors out there. It also has awesome all around performance in gaming and trades licks with the i7's.

I loved my 750 processor and only sold it because I made alot of profit off it in a rig I sold.
