Temps are "slightly" high. I wouldn't run it for 24/7 usage, but great job!
What cooler are you using and what thermal grease?

Theyre normal for a clock like this on an i7 at 4Ghz. Cooling with a Noctua NH-U12P plus 2 Scythe Slipstream in Push pull.

thermal grease is OCZ Freeze.

Slipstreams are terrible on a heatsink because they have very low static pressure. Swap them out for some Yate Loons and you will probably see a nice drop in temps. or even a single 38MM fan.

Nearly any 120MM fan will have more static pressure then a slipstream so if you have any extras you can always test them to see the advantages. The Noctua fan that came with your cooler while worse then a Yate is still much better then a slipstream.

You can see they choke out badly while other fans do not.

This is pretty dissapointing, because when I asked around Xtremesystems I was told the slipstreams were good.

run it for 24hr b4 calling it stable! I had OC where I ran it for 8-12 hours then it suddenly crashes...

They are all right but like they said before, they have low static pressure and they're not expected to last very long. And they're LOUD.

They are pretty good fans when used in open air or as a case fan but on a rad or heatsink there are better choices. Ironically that graph is from xtremesystems by Vapor.

Oh well. At least i've got the system, and it's running. I'm hoping temps are around 55-60c for real world tasks like gaming, maya, 3dS, etc.

I wonder how the Ultra Kaze 3krpm or the Delta's stack up against those fans. I'm sure they would dominate all of them, but then your comp sounds like a jet taking off.

I love the sound. If you set up a fan profile in the BIOS it only revs when your CPU hits a certain load. Mine stays quiete most of the time, Even gamin. Runnin a 4 or 8 thread task causes it to rev to full blast = LOUD

To OP, I bet you could lower temps quite a bit by lowering Vcore. I doubt you would need 1.4V with only a 4ghz OC. Have you tired lower? Some people are 24hr stable at 1.31V and 4ghz. Just a thought.
