i7 920 multiplier fluctuates during stress test?

Hi,

I am currently running OCCT v3.1.0 and noticed that the CPU multiplier is fluctuating between x21 to x20 while OCCT is running. Is there any reason why?

I disabled C1E, Intel speedstep, and TM functions. Is there something I am not disabling that is causing the multiplier to fluctutate from 21 to 20?

My motherboard is an Asus Rampage II Extreme.

The turbo mode is on, but the "TMs" under the CPU configuration are all disabled.

EIST must be disabled that is why the multiplayer has varriations

If that doesn't work, try getting the newest BIOS.

A lot of the earlier X58 BIOSes had issues with Turbo and the 21x multiplier.

I think I am already running the latest BIOS. I am running the 1639 bios from ASUS.
