Hi, I am new to posting so if I posted on the wrong area please dont yell at me. I am trying to overclock my i7 960 to at least 4GHz I am using an Intel DX58SO
and the overclocking software that came with the mobo. At first I thought it would be easy to overclock (after reading various forums). So I finished installing everything etc etc, but now I'm nervous about voltages and such. So will anyone help me out with that? Thanks.

Get into bios.
Set all voltages & frequencies as manual (stock cpu frequency)
Set cpu clock ratio to 23 or 24.
Bump bclk 5 by 5 testing stability with occt, ibt or linX for 15min and keep raising bclk if it's ok.

note in bios : uncore freq. = or > 2 x ram freq.

Thanks for helping guys!
Just one more question though, what is the highest temp my cpu should reach? It currently is around 77C~ at 4.0 GHz when benchmarking.
