I been pushing the old I7 980X i have and before i maybe go any higher. I just wanted to ask if its safe to go any higher now? Dont wanna risk burn the CPU out just yet.

CPU runs af 4.42 GHz at 1.42 volts in bios al throw cpu-z says 1.408 volts. Hottest core hovering around 80-84 degress celsius.

A sort video of temp. Sorry the blur at the start of the video. Gets bettor after a little while.

Its on air cooling by the way.

~80C at 4.4? Thats fine. Personally I'd keep it below 75C, but 80C is acceptable for an OC temp.

Looks like you've topped it out on the temps.
Nice OC on decent volts. If you manage to get better cooling you could push up to 1.45v on it and be OK but only if you can keep that beast under 80C. I reckon you could get 4.6-4.7Ghz out of it.

Yeah i think i have a alright oc on that chip. But since you talk about 4.7 GHz. I already have had it at 4.7 GHz but thats for benchmark only and done on a really cold evening but still on air cooling at 1.55 volts. Not something i will do for every day use not even if i had the cooling for it.
