I'm currently looking for a new computer in the next weeks and was looking into AMD for price reasons, well i'm very surprised to see the better performing i7 setup was cheaper than the amd one i came up with!!

see for yourself, very cheap imo for the performance ill get out of it.
Rate it if you want :)
missing parts will be taken from current sigrig (drives and BD-ROM/DVD)
And i will be selling left out parts from sigrig whenever i can.

wut... the nhu12p cpu cooler does not cost 106.49. and a i7 920 is about 280. you might want to update those prices.

also you might consider a 4870x2 instead of two 4870s.
Great build but I do not suggest an MSI motherboard. Countless members have had problems with their products and have had a nightmare trying to get RMA's or their money back. Save yourself some time and invest in a better motherboard, like the eVGA x58.

Also, why not get a 4870x2 instead of buying two cards individually? It's the same thing, just cheaper.
newegg.ca is pretty pricey.

I'd suggest canada computers or infonec. both ship across canada and both are cheaper for the most part.

I'd also agree on a 4870X2 over a pair of 4870's.

Performance is the same but its single card and usually nets out a bit cheaper (I have a set of 1gb 4870's as well)

oh thanks ill be looking those up.

As of the x2, no. personnal choice.
rather have the gpus have each their pcie lane both at 16 x rathe rthan sharing one. personnal choice here really as the performance dif. is negligible.

check for combo deals!
on the us website there is a -$25 USD for that exact mobo and cpu in a combo!

As for the GPUs-Id say wait a few weeks and go 2x4890 1GB.
