Y'know what. I would go i7 if you have the cash.
But the wise decision would be to wait a month or so till prices drop a bit and you can make a more informed decision.

See if you can get your Christmas present on boxing day as stuff will be cheaper and there should be more low voltage (the recommended 1.65v) DDR3 out by then.

You might be able to mc'gyver the thermalright 1366 retention mount to work on the coolermaster HSF.

Good, luck, I cannot decide either =)

It is liek a dif off 1200, or 800 for an entirely new build minus Monitor, hd and such
