anyone? im a n00b at computer modding.
Switch the PSU to a Corsair. It's going to cost more, but may be more reliable. Of course you can save the $150 and see how it turns out.

I think you should maybe drop down from the 5970 to perhaps a 5870 and spend that cash on a SSD. Everything will load so much faster- especially those dreaded long Crysis loading screens.
I haven't read much about the MSI X58, so I can't comment on that. However, I have heard good things about the Asrock X58 and that it's a good option for an inexpensive X58.

The case is pretty much personal preference and it looks like you're trying the buy the cheapest ram possible. The OCZ gold have better timings, faster speed and free shipping along with a MIR. The price difference is $15 not taking into account the shipping and MIR. You just need to use coupon code OCZTEN

As for the psu, I wouldn't spend $1600 and buy that thing. You really don't need a 1KW unit for your rig, but if you did, you have to realize that a quality unit is important and is going to cost more than that. I'd buy something of lower power from a reputable company.
the reason i am going with the 5890 instead of an ssd, is because it will be hard for me to make expensive upgrades in the future (this i'm 14) so i want the most power possible. same story for the ram and psu. the pqi me acutally has pretty good ratings.
Your link takes me to my shopping cart, not yours, try making a public wish list.

As for your parts in the op, I'd get a lower power name brand cooler first off, maybe a 750W, should be plenty.

Also, as others have noted, your cheaping out on your ram, I'd get something better. Can't see the price of what you got in the op (deactivated) but here's other stuff around the OCZ gold referenced above

If you can afford it, get the 5970, otherwise, the 5870 like you linked in the last post will be awesome, and you may want to drop second in later when the prices go down and your 5870 isn't maxing on games anymore

a question, what is your monitor? An upgrade to that might be a good choice as well if you don't have at least 1080p. Would make your games look much better than a graphics card update would.
most of it looks pretty good to me, but a 1000w psu is overkill for that setup. go for a corsair 750 or 850 instead--two very solid and reasonably priced psu's that will more power than you'll ever really need.

aside from that, I wouldn't ever trust a 1Kw psu that runs only $80. you don't want to skimp on your power source, spend a little more on a higher quality psu with less wattage like one of the options i mentioned and you should be good

I'd go with a modular PS.
SSD's are nice.
