Yeah, you should sell that crappy chip to me!

I can understand wanting to get to 5ghz. I was the same with my i7 920, but 4ghz was the "holy grail" for us. I would be really happy if that was my chip.

It is 4.8ghz @ 1.428vcore as cpuz is not accurate.

4GHz is more than enough for me. I don't get why do You all need 5GHz? My e-pen is big enough with 4.2GHz for everyday use and 4.6GHz for benchmarks

Edit: Whatever, with 5GHz you don't even notice framerate jump. If it's crappy to You I can trade with You
4.8GHz it's an awesome result and You should be happy with it and stop complaining.

Where did you get I was complaining and I need 5ghz..? I was wanting to know how this chip stacks up against a few others.

?? I think it's pretty good. 4.8GHz is more than You need. Why do you asking about 5Ghz? Do You need them for something? I didn't saw any application that needs 5GHz CPU
In my country you'll be one of the best with 2600K and that clock.

It's different. My chip is D0 and it almost impossible to hit only 3.8GHz. But hitting 5GHz? For what? Bigger e-pen?
i'm overclocking CPUs from almost 14 years, and I still don't understand it. "Wow, everyone has 5GHz so my chip must hit 5GHzs too"
And if You'll say that 4.8GHz with 2600K is bad, then I'm gonna laughing for all night

Ok Jason,
Calm down, go into your BIOS, set it back to x34, boot back into BIOS,then tell me the default VID in white (shown next to the manual cpu voltage selection to the right of it).

I'm guessing you have a high VID chip (1.245v or higher) but i want to see...

Also when you set it to x50, 5 ghz, and PLL overvoltage enabled, and you select your 1.5v in the BIOS, is the VID showing as 1.390 or 1.395v ?

it took me a while to get 5.1ghz @ 1.43v. i just tried different vrm settings and dropped the pll voltage (so chip runs cooler), eventually i got it stable at 1.43v (bios 1.43, actually is 1.44 under 100% load and 1.425 rest of the time due to the 'extreme' load line calibration setting).

So just play around with it for a while
