I want to know about the difference in performance between ICH7R vs ICH10 on raid0??

I'm pretty sure there aren't any great performance increases, it simply expands compatibility and options.

OK ..I want to get q6600 and overclock it with p5q-e.. should the quad increase my overall performance on vista like loading games and applications?

It won't help very much in current games, but you'll notice a difference in multi-tasking.

Some current games are multithreaded. GRID is one good example.

Very few games can use all 4 cores. Hopefully, within the next year, we'll see a lot more multi-threaded games.

ICH7 and ICH10 are about the same. I don't have first hand experience with 10, but I have ICH7 in my servers. And it rocks with RAID5.
These are with a 64KB stripe in RAID5. 4 x 200GB Maxtor DiamondMax 10s.
