My computer is hooked up to a 19inch fullscreen. with an HD 4870.

When I do decide to plug it to my HDTV all the icons on the desktop get messed up and it auto configures to 1920 x 1080, my OS on XP it just loaded it up to 1280 x 1024 instead of autoscaling the res up to 1920 x 1080.

I cant figure out how to fix this. anyone know how?

Thanks In Advance.

icons do get mixed up when resolution changes.

Check graphics control panel for HDTV settings.

TV's don't work too well with computers.
My TV is also 1080p, but, using a VGA cable I can only go up to 1280x720.
I have to use HDMI since the TV is native for that it lets me go up to 1920x1080.
There is nothing you can do. Cept use HDMI.
