Ok so i had a virus. it was one of those antivirus fakes. so i went ahead with deleting it. i had to shut it down in task manager and kill the root. simple enough. now IE will not work.i reset the setting to default. it still does not work, so i installed IE8, still not working. ALso when i try reading my yahoo mail, that does not work either. it just keeps getting errors. what could be wrong?

The virus is probably blocking you from going online. Those antivirus...viruses...are really some of the hardest to fully get rid of; a wipe of your hard drive and re-installation of the OS are probably best at this rate.

Malwarebytes can get rid of most of those fake antivirus. Safe mode then stop the process and run Malwarebytes. This man keeps money in my pocket cause he keeps getting these fake antivirus by downloading porn with protection on.

Edit: If Malwarebytes stops it means you didn't stop all the procceses the program is running.
If Malwarebytes doesn't find around 200-300 infections best just format hd and reinstall os.

Also try Hitman Pro - it uses cloud computing so as long as it can connect ot the net it wil work - even it you cant get online. I have found it very effective in removing those AV Viruses. It utilizes something like 5 programs to kill stuff. Has a free trial. However i second (or is that third?) the option to reformat and reinstall.
