That's funny a 6/10 score is given to MoH but the same quote could be said about MW2, yet it gets 9/10 or 10/10 ratings. Although in MW2 you rely more on everything than skill.

Oh c'mon, despite its flaws COD4 and MW2 still blow MOH out of the water.

Another FPS game with nothing but the basic's.
Even X360 kiddies want more, and their doushbaggery knows no bounds.

But seriously, this was expected. They tried going after COD and used a nationalistic "hoo-rah!" approach, which can only result in failure.

COD ain't getting killed off anytime soon. Especially by a generic reboot featuring Dog the Bounty Hunter as a main character.

So basically it's just like MW2?

Eh, there's nothing about this game that made it recognizable.

"Hey I'm playing generic shooter x, what was the name of this game again? Meh, who cares, it's the same as every other modern war shooter game on the market"

I don't understand all the negative reviews. The multiplayer is fantastic. They complain about each faction clashing in the middle, coming from opposite sides? Really now? So that isn't how a war works? It's fun as hell, and IMO, WAY better than BC2 online play.

Medic ruins BC2 by forcing everybody to have obnoxiously long respawn times. MoH is fast paced with quick respawns and fast rounds, and guns that actually kill. That is what I like.

And if MOH came out before MW2, that review would be for MW2.

I hate MW2 and am not all that fond of CoD4. My favorite CoD game was WaW. I really don't like BC2 all that much either. The long spawn time and medic kills it. I really, really like MoH online play.

I'd say currently, MoH online and CoD WaW online are my favorite games.

IGN thinks that MoH (and Bad Company 2 for that matter) is running on the Frostbite 2 engine, poor sods.

Also, the PC version scored a half-point higher despite clearing up most of the technical issues? I'd call that worth a full point at least, although I'd admittedly knock the game down several more notches on other fronts.

As someone who has participated in many of these type of fights overseas, I can say it sounds pretty familiar. The sounds are simply uncanny...the way it sounds when you are inside and bullets are whipping and ricocheting nearby, etc.

Most of the maps are only about 300 or so meters wide, if you judge the distance between the objectives, etc. I can easily kill you with a throat shot from 300m with my M16 or M4, and I'm not even what I would consider an amazing shot. The graphics are amazing (especially if you turn off bloom), and the layouts seem very realistic.

As for some of the other options...yes, you die quickly, and no you can't just run pell mell through the map. You can't do that in war either. That's complete BS that people knock the game down because they can't fly around the map gunning people down.

I played MW2 and MW1 extensively. Good games, but pretty silly. I mean people running around with dual 100 year old shotguns with the super speed perk, or running around the map just knifing people with the extra commando perk or whatnot is just outright dumb. Scavenger perk that allows you to pick up an enemy M4 but somehow replenishes your M203 or Claymores. The One Man Army perk where you can carry an entire armory on your back and infinitely replenish your ammo. I could go on and on. In the new Black Ops you can drive around a little RC explosive laden car. Stupid. I'll still buy it though and try it out.

So all that being said, what it boils down to in my opinion, is people rating a game down because they are the ADD generation and need a bunch of dumb little perks and helpers to keep them interested in the game.

So if you want the arcade style run around with ridiculous perks type game, stick with CoD series. If you want a little more simple, somewhat (I say somewhat because you can't transfer everything into a game) realistic game, go with the MoH.
