Ok, Im thinking about removing the IHS on my 4400+ , but I have one question. Using my Zalman 9500 do I run any risk of crushing the core when I tighten it down?

not likely simple for the fact that they use there own brackets with varrian hights and with that you can adjust them to your own prefernce. With the retenion bracket that comes stock with all mobo's they need to be ground down do line up corectly.

Alright, I did it , I have to say it really wasnt that hard and it only took like 5 mins, just made me really nervous because one slip with the razor could of killed my CPU.

Simply.Yes you will run the risk of crushing the core. Be very careful and only do this if you feel confident enough.

Yeah it's easy after you do it once..It gave me a heck of an adreniline rush the first time..Once you get a feel for the adhesive it goes a lot smoother. All I could hear when I was doing it was Crash saying turn, turn turn...I'm glad he did that it gives you time to get a good feel of it..

I think I've got a problem, when I run prume 95 core 1 goes up to 63C while core 2 is at 48C, I have reseated the heatsink and the AS5 seems evenly distributed

I might do it with the 3700+ I'll be getting in a trade for my 3000+ (+$10)

Not sure though. Might be too chicken.
