I'm finding this hard to believe.....

According to speed fan, Core Temp, MBM5, and Rightmark clock utility, the core is roughly 5 degrees cooler than the CPU. Is this normal or would you say it's due to the 6 inch intake fan behind the mobo? Thanks for looking.

Might be a buggard sensor.
I use coretemp mainly. I do not trust speedfan. I would say it is either a sensor issue or a calibration issue.

That's my guess... My core temps are never really accurate either. In my case it's a Brisbane core issue

What is your room temperature? The core can't be 20c if your room temp is 20c or more.
so you are saying the core should definitely be higher even with my unique fan configuration?

room temp is 16c

I'm using core temp simultaneously and the readings are the same

look at my crazy fan configuration.....btw I couldn't care less about the noise, it's not that loud.

Lol if those are the real rpms, its like hearing a blower inside your room

Use realtemp for temperature monitors (honestly, I don't trust the other ones at all).

Remember, you are only as hot as your hottest core (the lower temped cores do not make a difference).

Also, you should only worry about what temps you are getting when you are reaching within 20c of the maximum temperatures for your CPU).
I forgot to mention, Everest ultimate is a great piece of software for monitoring the temps of your entire system, as well as other information (ram speeds etc)
apparently those are not the real rpm readings, but the temp readings seem to be the same as all other programs. I just posted again with a picture from HWmonitor, cuz I kinda forgot about this post.

No, I find that I have this same problem (With EVEREST and SpeedFan reporting a "CPU temp" ~5 degrees higher than the "Core temp" that is reported by all other apps); don't use EVEREST. It also has a tendency to miscalculate [underestimate] your FSB/HTT when running stress testing tasks (sometimes my FSB/HTT shows up as just 2mhz when running EVEREST in conjunction with a video encode!)

Real temp is only for Intel
