I noticed this problem when I installed my new card, even before I overclocked. When I play Counter-Strike, I noticed that theres a bit of image distortion around the crosshair when I'm in game. Its acctually a square around the cross hair. Do you guys know what's causing the distortion? Thanks in advanced

This only happens in Counter-Strike, i havent been able to test it in any other games.

Have you tried reinstalling the latest drivers :

Installing Graphic card driver efficiently!!! When you Update your graphics cards drivers theres ways that you should go about it. Follow these simple steps below.

1.Download and install ''Driver Cleaner'' Here:
http://www.drivercleaner.net/professional.html
2.Uninstall your Current Display drivers such as your ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia'' drivers.
3.Now run ''Driver cleaner'' and depending on the Drivers you have you will have to select either ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia'' from the drop down menu. Only select the main title of the driver in the drop down such as just ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia''
4.Once you have selected Your driver click on the ''Start'' button and this will now start the driver cleaning process. ( Do this twice to be sure )
5.Now reboot your system and Download the latest Nvidia or ATI and go ahead and install them.

Doing this avoids driver corruption and conflicts so you can now enjoy smooth gameplay.

Also this is called artifacting which can also be due to heat problems...How hot is your card at Idle and load ?

Try changing the "Color correction" setting under Video in Options of CS:S
So if it's off now, turn it on, and vice versa.

Thanks for the response guys, I have the latest updates for steam. I'll have to check on the CS and AA settings. The card runs at about 60-61°C idle and the mid 70°C while running. I just put in my videocard a few days ago. I downloaded the most recent driver from nvidia.

EDIT: My AA is set at 4X, should it be at 8X? I also checked under my CS settings, i cannot do color correction on 1.6
