Demigod is a real-time strategy game that combines action and role playing elements. In the game, the player takes on the role of a demigod, a single powerful being whose goal is to ascend into the pantheon of the god. The demigod does this by earning favor points with the gods through combat in a series of arenas.

The single player game includes both a skirmish mode as well as a â€œpantheon modeâ€. Online, players can choose to play custom games with an endless combination of options set by the host (with new options added in v1.2) or play in the Pantheon in which the players choose to fight for the forces of light or the forces of darkness in an effort to gain enough favor points to allow their side to win.

Demigod multiplayer â€œepoch 3â€ is set to begin next week in which player rankings and records from epoch 2 are added to the pantheon vault and new stats begun from scratch.

Took them way too long for just one Demigod and mod support (with no examples!).

I've lost interest in this long, long ago. Shame, because it had potential.

I wouldn't call it an RTS

I think most people wouldn't, actually. More of a RTT? (Real-time tactical?)

If they made the game client/host instead of p2p I would jump back into it... Or if they add dedicated servers... Oh well...

Tactics and strategy are intertwined. You can't have one without the other. Therefore RTT and RTS are the same thing.

Guh. I really don't like this game. It was way hard and the controls and stuff were hard.

A tactical game deals with a small group of people, usually a squad.

A strategy game deals with resource management and base/empire building.

They need to have a $10 sale weekend or something to arouse new interest in that game.

It's excellent, but the bad launch and lack of updates until now have really, really hurt.

I loved this game. I played non stop, was number 8 on the ladder for a while. I got so fed up with the ****ty support that I havn't picked it up since. I'll give it another shot now that the patch that was supposed to be out in Aug is finally out. Hopefully this fixes all the things that made me hate the game and I can start playing again.
