I consider my self a newb, and just built my first computer recently.
I am very happy with the results I got.
My specs are
-i7 2600k (Hyper 212 Plus Cooler)
-ASRock Z68 Professional Gen3
-EVGA GTX 580
-Corsair Professional Series HX850
-Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3
-128 GB SSD
-1Tb HDD
-Fractal Design Define R3 Case
It's time to overclock the beast!
Atm my i7 2600k idles at 33c, and under full load hits about close the mid 50's.
I want to oc my cpu where I can have it at good temperatures, and have it 24/7 at that speed. Thinking of anything over 4.0ghz, as long as it is not passing over the 70c under full load. I only use this rig for games atm so I dont need any big oc'ing yet.
Like I said I am a newb at this, and any help will be appreciated.
Basically I need to know how to achieve those speeds, what settings to change on the bios, and etc.
Oh and by the way I have F-Stream Tuning, would that make it any easier?
Thank you very much fellow members! Bare with me!
