try to see if it's in: right-click MyComputer-->Manage--> Computer Management--> Services

ink service not working?
i boght a tablet but as i try to start up handwrite recognition it says ink service is not started program,cannot start.

i cant find that service....
then there's your problem...was there a CD that came with the tablet? did you install the drivers? I'm assuming you would, but still...try reinstalling
