AMD announced that its A75 and A70M Fusion chipsets will be the first certified 'Superspeed USB' chipsets. About time. We just have to see them integrate an AMD version of Intel's Matrix Storage tech and thunderbolt or something for them to really get moving.
Oh nice..
It's to bad that I have had my usb 3.0 mobo for a year+ and still don't have a single usb 3.0 device. Since my external hard drive is only used for the odd backup.. I don't see the need to upgrade to a 3.0 drive.

Is there any other reason to be excited about 3.0? <---- serious question.
Dont worry, its not getting upto speed coz its not very economical.

When Usb 3.0 devices witness drop in prices, your ports will be in use.

If your a mobile user, USB 3.0 will make a lot of sense once it becomes mainstream and it might as well replace e-sata and firewire.
Eventually the rest of the industry will catch up, and USB 3 will replace 2.
