Install Windows from HDD?

Hi all,
I am able to download Windows 7 from MSDN Academic Alliance, and would like to install it on a freshly reformatted drive. I don't have a dvd burner to burn the .iso onto, and was wondering if it's possible to boot from an HDD with the .iso file into the Windows installer. Thanks for the help!

You can install from a USB drive, assuming you have one big enough.

two options:
1) install to the partition using a virtual drive like virtual daemon
2) install using a usb thumb/jump drive
