I am in the process of installing the VF3000A on my Toxic 6950 and the type "B" heatsink that is meant to cool the FET and RAM chipset doesn't fully cover the RAM. I included a picture to show what I mean, will this cause any issues at all such as over heating?

Well at least you have PART of it covered, there definitely is a chance it could overheat, but RAM doesn't normally get "too" hot, so half coverage might work. Would be best to have it covered completely though!

I did manage to figure it out, I used the Memory heatsinks from my Accellero Xtreme GTX 280:

Also I would like to point out for people with reference cards that the VRM heat sink WILL FIT, with a little modding of course

First we see that the holes line up for the push pins, but there is a little piece in the way as shown here;

Now with my amazing Dremeling skills *extreme sarcasm* I dremeled that little piece off and it fit's perfectly.
