ok.... For a media player, i would use AMARok...so...what you need to do...is get into the console. type

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get kde
sudo apt get kubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get kde-core
sudo apt-get install amarok

as for the driver...do a google search.

the "sudo" command stands for "superuser do"
It will prompt you for the password and i think your username.

this is only required if you are not looged in as root, you can always open up the root console and omit the sudo command. I hope it helps....

I don't know how to make it any more simple. I told you what to open and what to type. Go to system @ the top, click on console, and type the commands i told you to type....you'll have a fully fleshed out media player within a couple hours.
