when u install vista RC1 can u intall it onto a separate partion on yoru HD?

Yes, just make sure the partition is big enough. I would recommend something over 20gb as Vista takes quite a lot of disk space.

yes download vista.. it should be a .iso file. Then you can use a program called daemon tools to run it. It will allow you to install it on a separate partition.

Just make sure you run it while in Windows, do not run it as a bootable CD. Then instead of picking upgrade, choose to install it onto a new partition!

I just installed RC2 just like tubnotub1 recommended, from Windows. I installed it on a 20GB partition, and have 9.55GB left over after the install.
