Hi guys!!

I have an Acer Aspire 5742 i5-480M 5GB RAM, 120GB SSD.
I've just checked my Intel HD graphics and I only have 128MB of dedicated video memory!!! Any way to increase this and use up some more of my RAM??? I will be increasing my RAM to the max of 8GB so I want to use at least 1GB for graphics!! BIOS won't let me change the set up! Any other way?

Thanks in advance!!!

Nowadays computer manufacturer both desktop and laptops will allow us to change the options in BIOS, but depending upon the company theses options varies. Some of the well established manufacturer will not provide such customization or they would have disabled such options for the user. In most of the branded laptops you can see the BIOS setting stating that BIOS has been properly configured and optimized.

In your laptop spec sheet it would have mentioned has "128 MB dedicated system memory", hence you cannot change this option.
