Just got my tforce matx board, its up and running lovely. Love the board, BUT my internet connection is weird and slow. Ive tested it using online speed tests and its comming up as slow, very slow. When downloading a file it isnt in one continuous download, its choppy like 15kbs at a time. This is especially noticeable when receiving a file transfer from a buddy on AIM, choppppy.

How do i do the ping test thing from my computer? I forgot.

Anyone have any ideas?

open a command prompt - start - run - cmd
type ping blahblahblah.com
ot pinh (ip address)
without the ()s

you can also use tracert dns/ip to see how the data is traveling

do you have the QOS packet scheduler on? if so uninstall it.

If this is a new build then you need to tweak your tcp settings in windows.
Go to www.dslreports.com and in the tool section you will find a "tweak test". Run this and follow instructions on how to adjust.

I've never had to do that before, ill try it and see what happens.

I tried using that program, it didnt help. Ive done tests and it seems my download rate is horride. On my old computer in the other room the download rate is arond 10x faster than on this motherboard. I am at a loss, im going to reinstall windows and the drivers.

If worse comes to worse ill rma the board since the internet jack is faulty.
I really like this board too.
