Hey, my friend has an iPhone 3G, and the glass screen is smashed. The phone is still fully useable, but it's just the screen that's cracked. In other words, the actual touch part of it works perfectly. Just the outer shell has a problem. Where can I buy this part for cheap? Could I get a link to it? Rep shall be given (the 11th commandment)

I bought one the other day from this site. I actually bought the glass with the frame and the home button, because both my home button and glass were damaged. While trying to take the lcd out of the old frame, I ended up cracking the lcd. Now I have a new glass and broken lcd.

Make sure you go the glass + digitizer. I made the same mistake and bought just the glass and it wasn't of much use.

hey man dont pay for the ridiculous amounts
i have done many of these repairs.
2 ways of fixing this

1) Easy More, A LOT MORE, expensive.
buy the complete Display assembly for a little under the $200 complete assembly only thing you will have to do is remove the numbered on the old display to the new one since there is some magnetic thing that keeps them stuck to where they need to be.

2)DIY
i have bought many things from these guys and their products are really good quality.
eBay Glass+Digitizer+Adhesive they will include the Pry tool and i believe that they will send the suction cup.
iFixIt instructions on how to replace this its not that hard.
