I am still using ios 5.1.1 and reluctant to update to the latest. Has anyone done so? If so have you had any issues?

Yes, I updated recently. Like yourself I'd been holding of from updating for a long while. Have to say I'm not happy. Updated to ios6.1.2 and its hard to put my finger on it exactly, but my phone now feels more ........... sluggish or less responsive. Battery drain appears to be the same. Don't really like the new appstore layout.

Think hard before updating, because I just found out that its pretty much impossible to roll back to a previous firmware. Thanks Apple

Don't do it.

My battery life is garbage now. I take it off the charger at 7am and by 5pm, with only checking the time every hour or so, it's at 20%. And that's without wifi, since you know, I can't even turn it on. Have had the grayed out wifi button glitch for 5 weeks now. 2 updates and they haven't even attempted to fix this problem. Unbelievable.

Don't update.

From what i have seen, probably not too much of a need unless you are having problems with your phone now. and yes you cannot downgrade firmware once you update your phone. So i would stick with the 5.1.1 because Google maps is better integrated. There are more performance reasons to stay.
