iPhone case suggestions

462 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  nachosanchezz
I have the 1st gen iPhone, and im looking into possibly getting a case that would increase battery life. Hoping maybe y'all could suggest a decent one that wont be too bulky, in black(of course), and afford me some shock/drop protection at the same time.

I give reps for help!
(doesnt everyone?)

Thanks in advance,

Se7ens

I've read a little bit about that bad boy, looks solid, but I have an ok case now just looking to improve battery life mostly. Thanks for the input though!

Really? Congratulation! I don't know which kinds of cases can increase battery life. But i personally think that a silicone case is better. I've been more scared of my iphone dropping when there is a hard shell on it compared to when it has a thick silicone which I think absorbs the impact a lot more. Here is a link about iphone cases maybe someone would like to take a look around.
I've heard great stuff about the Speck Candyshell. It's a hard plastic on the outside and silicon on the inside, should offer great protection. They have an option with black plastic shell with dark grey silicon. I'm not sure what you mean by improve battery life though....?

I understand that there are cases available that include an extra battery of some sort that effectively increases battery life. Maybe I'm incorrect?

Yea that's what I thought you meant. I haven't seen them though. I've only seen batteries that plugged into the dock connector at the bottom, and they are normally quite big.
