Just pop in your sim card and your good to go. Make sure you have a data plan if you plan on surfing the web a lot.

I may be a bit out of date but I have not heard that the Iphone 3g can be unlocked to use other carriers without using a "TurboSim" which is essentially a sim card "adapter" (for lack of a better term).

You can use the internet, youtube and all if you have a data plan on your t-mobile phone plan. If not, you'll be charged for the data usage as if you were using it on your original phone. I would recommend a unlimited data plan.

And there is a software unlock for the 3G's. You no longer need to have a modded sim to unlock 3G's.
