Is 115 a safe PCI Express frequency?

As topic really.

I've got my rig overclocked and have had to set my PCI Express to 115 as opposed to Auto which I beleive means 100. If I set it to 100 or Auto my PC freezes at the POST. Basically is it ok to run my system with the PCI Express Frequency set this high?

Please note that I haven't set it to 115 to try to get extra performance.

you'll only see marginal gains when increasing the PCIe freq. Safe range is from 100-104mhz.

Also you need to lock the freq. to 33mhz.
I run mine all day with it at 115. No problems yet.

Thanks I'll try to get it down a little bit if I can.

Yes I have also locked the PCI bus thingy to 33MHz, I did that with no problem at all. I just find it odd that I can lock my PCI bus to it's default 33MHz but I can't lock the PCI Express to it's default.

Oh well, I'll just try to get it as low as possible. Cheers.

Thats a little more comforting to know, I'm glad I'm not the only one running the frequency a little higher.

I also run mine at 115mhz, no problems! I also gained 450 points in 3Dmark05 at that speed. Its especially beneficial when running SLI, due to the halved bandwidth

Oh just realized:

I remember reading that on a particular intel board the PCIe was connected to the FSB so an overclock of the CPU led to a overclock of the PCIe bus. It therefore didn't overclock very well.
