I'm talking raw power here, as well as Shader 3.0, etc.

Basically, is the 7600 GT better in every aspect?

TIA.

Either way, the 7600GT will do much better in newer games, and because of SM3.0, the games will look prettier.

Toss up, after overclocking just on the GS, it would win more, ocing on botha nd the GT wins, BUT the 7600gs has SM3.0 which means it will do much better in later games.

The 7600GS loses to the 6800GS/GT/UL AGP or PCI-E, because the 7600GS has DDR2 while the 6800GS/GT/UL all have DDR3. DDR3 > DDR2
But if the 7600GS has DDR3 making it into a 7600GST, then it beats those 68xx cards, especially if you overclock it.

Having DDR3 over DDR2 makes a BIG difference.

I'd throw the GST into the GT range, because it is just a GT with a different name.

Power,
7600GT > 6800GT > 6800GS > 7600GS

Proformance in new(er) games,
7600GT > 7600GS > 6800GT > 6800GS

Thats not true the 7600GT is better than an ultra by a good enough amount. The 7600GT is ATM the best AGP card even better than the 7800GS by a good amount. Look around for benchies you will see just go and Google them both.

The benchmarks start at this page with 3dmark0X scores then they go to some real world game benchmarks. You will notice that the 7600GT AGP outscores the 7800GS and only being beat by the X850 excluding SM3 situation where the ATI doesn't support.

http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles...031&cid=3&pg=4

The 7600GT and the 6800GT both support SM 3.0. However, the 7600GT is faster, runs cooler and uses less power. Not to mention that its a better overclocker.

The 7600GT has a WAY higher core and mem clock than any of the 6 series cards, I suppose thats why it out performs them. It has lower spec in other areas but those clock speeds are fast in comparison.

I think the 7800GS is better at its highest OC than a 7600GT AGP, which can't be OCed very far. Saw it on some website.. I'll look it up later.

I'm currently working with an RMA with eVGA. The support dude was helpful and quick to respond. Also, i hear they cover the card for OCing, aftermarket HS, and all that for lifetime. I'll be buying from them again.
