SATA=150MB/s
SATA=1.5Gb/s
=> 150MB/s=1.5Gb/s=1500Mb/s
=> 1Byte=10bit ! <= Is it correct !?

SATA is 150MB/s i dunno where did you get these 1.5GB/s from

For some reason i have seen lots of websites quoting 1.5gb/s - god knows what they are playing at!

1 byte = 8 bits. 1.5Gb/s probably a screwed up marketer (or a really good one) putting up incorrect advertising

SATA is 1.5 gigabits/sec, and the new SATA spec (SATA2 if you would..) is 3Gb/s, and it will continue to grow, or so says Intel.

ahh yes the age old confusion of Bits and bytes... small "b" bits... Capital "B"... Bytes... multiply bytes times to 8 to get Bits... divide Bits by 8 to get Bytes. this is also why 1 megabyte is actually 1024 Kilobytes and 1 Kilobyte is actually 1024 Bytes... it's because of bits... not to mention why everythign else in a computer for the most part is divisible by 8..1024x768x32 resolution... 1.44MB floppies... etc etc.

What ever happened to ATA133... man... that came out and everyone was like woohoo 133MB! Blazing new speeds! and then after a while everyone realized none of hte hard drives even reached close to even 100MB burst. Then SATA came out.... and thank god for hte Raptor

...Which can't even sustain 150mb/s transfer.
