Simple answer no, its for users with 1080p monitors to down sample 4k. No point if you are going to be native 4k.

Well I have thought about buying Acer the IPS 144HZ 4k one that is going out but Since the price will be high in this country of mine, I thought about getting a 144Hz monitor with 1080p ? So I dont know is it worth it to go with 4K with DSR released ? Would be a money saver.

There is no 144Hz 4k. Only 1440p 144Hz.

DSR 4k at 1080p looks like crap compared to actual 4k.

DSR 4k looks A LOT better than native 1080p BUT still not as good as actual 4k on a 4k monitor.

I've tried DSR @ 4k on FFXIII and FFXIII-2. it looks awesome
